Bio

"When creating a  seascape or landscape, my goal is to convey an image that captures the essence and atmosphere of a very specific moment in time".

A native of New Jersey, Lauren was born in Montclair. Growing up spending family vacations at the New Jersey shore, Lauren has always been drawn to nature. She continues to be inspired by the many beautiful beaches in New Jersey as well as those visited while on vacation with her husband and two children.

Lauren's art background began at the Newark School of Fine and Industrial Art, from which she graduated with a BFA in Textile Design. She went on to work as a Textile Designer in New York City for many years.

While raising a family, Lauren continued to study art at the "Yard School of Art, at the "Montclair Art Museum, in Montclair New Jersey.
Now, mostly painting coastal and country side landscapes in oil, She also paints still life and botanical illustrations in colored pencil and ink wash and in water color.
